On Sunday we went to the comic book store, and as is my wont I looked at small press publications, trying to find one that might be a good match for my comic book. Only, I think I'm barking up the wrong tree with wordplay, history, and true tales, as everything I picked up seemed to be cute stories about poop. Cute stories about poop in sepia tones, with adorable animals and disgusting situations. So I thought, if you can't beat 'em...
Here for your enjoyment is episode one of PUP!
And to amp the indie artie cred even farther than poop, sepia washes, cute animals, infantile text and tentative linework take it, the damn thing's drawn in a moleskine. Cool? You betcha.

Raw genius.

I did think of you when I drew this, KDK. It's good to have a friend who likes poo worms!
