Pink Elephant Cowboy Hat

 

I was handed a white plastic cowboy hat in a bar by an out-of-costume Calgary Stampede Clown on Thursday night. So I had to go home and slap on some paint (white is simply not my color).

Since the city of Calgary spends Stampede Week in a haze of booze-and-pancake fumes, a happy pink elephant with party polka dots seemed pretty much the thing.

And then I wore it to the Stampede Parade and saw stuff like this.
