Ok, I know I said (over on my blog) that I wouldn't put up any vintage Easter here till the day before the actual holiday...but I lied! Because who can resist the power of the Easter Witch? Not me, that's for sure. So here's a lovely lady for you on this Palm Sunday.
We live in an age of wonders; at least, it's wonderful for those of us who like the Dark Side of holidays. Not only is there a devil at Christmas, there's a witch at Easter! The Krampus is getting pretty popular these days, in large part because of Monte Beauchamp's book; hopefully he'll do something on the Easter Witch too, because I didn't find a whole lot about her. Apparently she is well known in Scandinavia, where little kids do something suspiciously along the lines of "trick or treating" in the springtime.
Other little known Dark Sides of the Pastel Holiday:
And a frightening Military influence.
Don't forget Anti-Rabbit Sentiments...
and that favorite pastime of all "bad kids", Smoking!
For more bizarre vintage postcards (including another, more standardly "witchy" Easter witch), visit Penny Postcards.

She's quite the tomato, really. Nice gams... er, gam.

I can't quite figure her out. Does she just drop those eggs? Who do they land on? Is it like Santa Magic, where they waft down thru the chimney and land in easter baskets, unbroken? I like that her broom bristle is pussy willow, that's pretty groovy.

I know...until now Easter was the Evil-Anti Halloween, but I have a new appreciation of it with the witch!

People need to turn to God. Put your trust in him. He is the only way, the light, and the truth. Becoming a witch will lead you down a very dark and bad place. The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy.(John 10:11) That is the evil one's plan for you if you want to become a witch or satanist or anything in that realm. He only wants to kill you and others, but God comes to give life, and to give it abundantely. Jesus loves you whether you love him or if you love the devil. He is sad though that you are doing that. He just wants you to love and know him. Blessings To Everyone Who Reads THis.............

Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs.
