Venturing into the Tenderloin area of San Francisco can provide the Urban Archeologist with artifacts and clues about how its denizens live. Discarded needles, abandoned wheelchairs, used condoms, empty cans of Colt 45, and at least 50 Tandoori restaurants can be found scattered about the neighborhood. Empty-eyed, hopeless zombies stumble around, some begging for money, some selling their bodies, and some just looking for a place to sleep. At times, the Urban Archeologist might come across written records detailing the hard life in the Tenderloin and she makes it her duty to record and catalogue these discoveries before they get painted over by city workers.
