This was a piece done back in late January of this year for FFWD to commemorate the 25 anniversary of CJSW, the campus radio station at the U of C. The printed version had some kind of obstruction going on due to the inclusion of a strange hockey puck-looking design element, but here it is in all its debris-strewn, stained-floored, duct-taped glory. The inclusion of the Vindicators album cover was a shout-out to my buddy, Daaren Boreham, who hired me back in 1988 to do my very first record sleeve for a band that I wasn't in!
"The days spent waiting were making me disappear, not quite a ghost yet, but not quite whole. When she finally walked in, stepping into the shadows like she was stepping into a cool bath, I realized I'd been tailing the wrong dame. The picture was complete and I was wearing the frame. She shot me a look that was like a bullet from a gun. Everything was about to go wrong and I didn't give a damn". R.F.
