The "Ed's Basement" shows were always a wonderful mix of poetry, performance art, music and humor, and the band members were some of the most down to earth musicians I've ever met. Somewhere I still have a stack of Two Ton Santa, the little zine they sold at shows, and a tee shirt so old it's practically transparent.
This is a sweet video treatment of a tragic song, done by some deadpan kids.
At wrong: Charlie Sheen is a trainwreck, and this guy saw an opportunity to make a buck and get his name in a lot of papers...and television. He says, "I'm in branding. I'm in advertising. I just wanted to see how you can send something viral without spending any money."
A sweet piece of art inspired by a silly voiceover of a nature show, and an opportunistic parasite who is getting his 15 minutes of fame out of someone's else's crazy. I'm pretty sure the wrong one will be the "winner", but hope springs eternal. "Winner" may end up being the Charlie Sheen definition.
