This little gem showed up in my image search for the elusive Santaclops. Kelson Barber writes:
"Nothing says Merry Christmas like a blood splattered Santa Claus with a knife in his teeth! I’m a little
behind getting the gifts out to my friends. I’ve even
included ”Certificates of Authenticity” so they will know that the
ornaments are limited edition Kelson Barber originals (No doubt this
will be helpful when they are auctioned off at Sotheby’s). Hopefully
everything will arrive from the North Pole by the holiday. The ornaments
become decidedly less funny after Christmas. So for your enjoyment….
some crazy Santas, a couple of fellows that had some trouble putting up
the lights, maybe a snowman in there somewhere, and SANTACLOPS!"
Once upon a time, Green Tiger Press put out a "Magic Spectacles" calendar with monthly themes. I was digging through some of my archives and found a stash of these old calendars, which got me to thinking. Sure, we know all about Krampus for Christmas, but what about the oft-neglected Santaclops?
