Yes! It's messy! But man, the colors...I'm sure I'm totally doing it wrong, cuz I draw and then smear it around with linseed oil, and then draw again...I should get a book or something.

it's a nice texture you've got goin' on there-I've never thought to use linseed oil with the pastels (I do with charcoal) I'm going to give it a try-I usually just smear the colors together with my fingers-but that is messy too, and can be clumpy. Have you ever tried the Holbein oil pastels? they are the square shaped ones w/o a wrapper they are sweet-so smooth....dreamy to work with.
