This is the face my dog makes when there is a CUPCAKE in the house. His brain stops working and he becomes a CUPCAKE Destruction Machine. Also, his claws are trimmed, but they grow like a cat's claws, when CUPCAKES happen.

Today I found Lillet in Calgary...just up the block at Kensington Wine Market. Perfect timing, as it is ferociously hot and only Lillet will do on a day like this.

Despite the NYC Monster Sushi shirt, this is a delicious lunch at Wow Wee Maui's Kava Bar & Grill.
A small sampling of the delicious sake found in Maui.
Kava is supposed to have all sorts of mysterious and wonderful properties when drunk, but all I felt was a numb tongue and cold at the back of my throat. I've never been very good at drugs though so it might just be me.
It doesn't taste very nice (a bit like dirt) but if you prefer you can get your daily kava dose in chocolate bars made by the Wow-Wee Maui Candy company.

SPAM is very very popular in Maui. I didn't manage to get to a McDonald's or Burger King to get a shot of the SPAM delicacies on their menus, but I did get a picture of a SPAM endcap at Costco.
If you're wondering, yes, I did eat one of these. It's served very hot, and it's very salty. Best eaten with a sweet beverage for balance.
Absinthe and champagne.
They messed it up though, the absinthe is supposed to be carmelized. Still, after a few sips...you kinda don't notice.
