Depicted here is none other than Byron Seltzer, mastheading a new hipster movement which has been termed by the Establishment as Hillbilly Noir. Seltzer, along with his Hayseed Bastard Orchestra, have been diving headlong lyrically, visually, and yes, musically into this happening trend.
New dance steps such as the Macon Bacon Shuffle and the Injoys Stomp have been tearing up the Seattle and 'Frisco dance halls formerly frequented by the suave Swing Kids, now sporting coveralls and rope belts (footwear optional). Seltzer's hit, "Hayride Into Murder" has been featured on the soundtrack to the the hit independent film "Straw Troopers".
