Valentines Day is often celebrated with chocolate, gilt-edged cards, and guilt-edged jewelry. Sweetness and sugar are the rules of the game played by the little fat boy in wings. However, at any given time at least half of the population is single, freshly dumped, in a dead end relationship, or just sick of the whole thing. These are valentines for the bitter half, and those who can laugh at love and the iron-fisted grip it has on us; created by artists in Portland, Vancouver, Victoria, San Francisco, Calgary, and Moncton, New Brunswick.
Artists: 14, Tom Bagley, Kamala Dolphin-Kingsley, Ian Doig, Eric Dyck, Rod Filbrandt, Aubrey Hallis, Tim Huesken, Mark Igglesden, Bonni Reid, Nicole Steen and Kipling West
