For some reason, a back-to-nature 3-eyed Nancy Sinatra is telling us to keep 'er down or Hubs is gonna lose it. I was filmed by a local documentarian whilst applying the finishing touches to this sketchbook cover, part of a local project inspired by the 1000 Journals.
We ended up debating what the heck my picture meant. I said I didn't have a clue, apart from the humanoid shape containing Hub's noggin being a riff on a Surrealism-derived device Richard Powers used to occasionally include in some of his paperback covers. Now she either figures I have some kind of deep-seated psychological issues, or I'm just a sci-fi nerd.
I still have to spray some kinda varnish on it to make it more durable, as the sketchbook will get passed around and drawn/written in over the next year.
I sure do like those trees!
